NITROUS OXIDE
Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas, is an odorless gas that will help you relax. Dr. Lopez administers this via a small mask that is worn over your nose during your procedure. This mask administers the nitrous oxide throughout the entire procedure, giving you a calming sensation while our team works on your mouth. One of the biggest benefits of nitrous oxide is that it is fast to take effect and once the gas stops, the effect quickly wears off.
LOCAL ANESTHETIC
This is often combined with our nitrous oxide treatment and is used to block sensations of pain or discomfort. We will inject this anesthetic into your gums at the location where surgery or treatment will take place. This will numb the area of the mouth so you feel little discomfort. Many patients claim to only feel a slight pressure in their mouth even during dental implant surgery.
