Meet Our Expert Periodontist Dr. Lopez
Dr. Alfred Lopez is a native of Albuquerque, NM. His father, brother, wife, and many other family members are all dental professionals. For over 30 years, he has provided the patients of Albuquerque and surrounding communities with expert periodontal care.
Dr. Lopez received his dental education from Holy Cross College, the University of New Mexico, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He then went on to complete a surgical internship and specialty program in periodontology in Leavenworth, Kansas, and at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Following his education and training, Dr. Lopez was the Program Director for Periodontal Training at the VA Center in Leavenworth, Kansas, and an associate professor in Graduate Periodontics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He supervised the general practice residency program at San Diego V.A. Hospital for two years. He has traveled to Europe and India to educate other professionals as well.
